Normally I’d be upset about this, but I might actually have a use for the hatch tomorrow.

Ouch.

What? It is similar. 4 wheels/doors/steering wheel. There you go.

That’s why I like national rental car. At denver they had 4 toyota tacoma’s and a subaru legacy sedan! But I was dumb and took the Rav4. Should have taken the taco.

And equally snooze inducing...

Remember... crossovers are hatchbacks on stilts, so you still got a car.

Any credit card insurance I’ve seen doesn’t cover pickups for some reason. I wonder why?

Because pickups are going to get trashed.

Actually IMO the Jetta with the 1.4T is more fun than it has any right to be - especially compared to the rest of the class. And Avis does have them... but they also have base mode Sentras which are possibly the most boring thing on sale right now.

I had a Cruze rental for a few weeks. It sucked. Not late 90s/early 00s GM sucked, but like “we stole all of VWs ideas but applied them even more cheaply” sucked.

The latest one or the prior generation? I actually like the previous one but haven’t driven the current one yet.

Do I’m getting a car from Hertz tomorrow for our trip and it’s a VW Jetta or equivalent, I’m not sure what to expect besides a Jetta which I kinda want.
